How to Request a Repeat Prescription
We understand that you may be taking medication on a regular basis (e.g. monthly). To ensure that you receive your medication on time, you will need to request the medication from us 2-7 days prior to your medication due date. If you request it earlier than 7 days, we won’t be able to issue it unless there are special circumstances (e.g. if you are going abroad). It will take up to 48 hours to issue your repeat medication and any non-repeats or hospital medication will take up to 5 working days.
You may sometimes be asked to buy your medication OTC (Over the Counter) as opposed to receiving a prescription for it. Please read the following link for more information as to why this may be recommended: https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/medicines/why-cant-i-get-prescription-over-counter-medicine/
Repeat prescriptions may be ordered in several ways:
You can order your repeat prescriptions via SystmOnline on a computer, ipad or a phone APP.
Ask My Gp
You can order your repeat medications by raising an Ask My GP request under your own details.
You can fill in a prescription request form or underline the items needed on the tear-off side of your prescription and drop it into the surgery. Please do not order any medications that you do not need.
You can order your repeat prescriptions by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please ensure that you include your full name and D.O.B and the names of all of the medications that you require.
If a stamped addressed envelope is supplied, your prescription can be returned via Royal Mail. Find our postal address.
If you are experiencing any difficulties with the above methods, please ask a friend or family member to assist you as we will need your request in writing. If you are still experiencing any issues, please give us a call on 02085721497 so that we can assist you further.
